The new Perth lab conducts routine haematology, chemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis, coagulation, cytology, urine culture, basic faecal parasitology (centrifugation), and basic infectious disease testing on site.
How to book a test
Using cloud-based Vet Connect PLUS, booking a test is easy.
- Click order diagnostics on the Home page
- Select the patient or add a new patient, and then click Next: Select Tests.
- If prompted for missing information, enter and then click Save and Select Tests
- Choose tests; to view test details, click the information icon to the right of the test name.
- Enter the veterinarian’s name on the right, and then provide any additional information required, such as specimen details or notes and instructions
- Click Order
- Print the form and get ready to book the pick-up

Specialty testing is performed in the new IDEXX core reference laboratory in Brisbane, overnight air shipping. See chart for Turn Around Time (TAT) from the time the sample enters the local laboratory.
