IDEXX StatSpin® VT Centrifuge Accessories
The accessories listed on this page may be purchased through your authorised IDEXX distributor.
RT12 Tube Rotor The RT12 Tube Rotor is a two-place rotor designed to accommodate a variety of sample processing tubes for blood and urine separation, including standard 1.5-mL and 2.0-mL centrifuge tubes with a maximum diameter of 10.9 mm. These tubes should be supported by the collar of the rotor. | Microtainer Adapters (SV12) The Microtainer Adapters allow the RT12 Tubes Rotor to efficiently spin BD Microtainer Tubes without the need to purchase another specific tube rotor (RM02 Tube Rotor). |
Easy to use - Rotors load with simple push-on/pull-off—no tools required
- Membrane touch panel
- No settings to remember or calculations to make
- Light indicates cycle in process
- Cover releases when cycle ends
We recommend using plasma when running samples on the VetTest® Chemistry Analyser. Using a lithium-heparin tube with a gel barrier is also the preferred standard protocol. Spin a sample: 1. Use the appropriate tube. Do not use EDTA. | 2. Use the appropriate sample collection device. | 3. Draw the sample gently. Transfer if necessary. |
4. Gently invert the sample for 30 seconds to mix. | 5. Centrifuge the sample—120 seconds, “Hard Spin.” | 6. Transfer the plasma sample to a sample cup. |
