Bulk-Tank Testing

  • Heater Block Temperature: 45°C ±5°C.
  • Colour must appear on the temperature strip for 15 minutes before starting the test

Device
  • Do not open the foil or put kits on the heater block until ready to run.
  • Be sure a coloured pellet is at the bottom of the tube.
  • The device must be prespotted with control, sample and activation spots.
  • Devices should be stored at 0°–7°C.

Bulk-Tanks
  • Snap the device as the activation circle BEGINS to disappear—DO NOT wait until activation circle has completely disappeared before snapping.
  • Leave the device on the heater block for the 4-minute colour-development time.
  • Do not attempt to read the device:
    • Before the full 4 minutes
    • If the control and sample spots are not uniformly developed
    • If a high blue background has occurred

Storage temperature, timing steps and heater block temperature are very critical. Do not vary from the package insert.
