Make your residue testing a snap

 

SNAP® residue tests consist of three simple components

SNAP Test Kit
Three simple components, three simple steps
Step 1: Heat  Draw the milk sample to the indicator line
(450 µL ±50 µL).
Add the sample to the tube and shake it.
Incubate the tube and device at 45°C ±5°C for:
Beta-Lactam—5 minutes    Tetracycline—5 minutes
Aflatoxin M1—5 minutes    Gentamicin—2 minutes

Step 2: Pour and Snap  Add the sample to the sample well of the device. Watch the sample travel to the activation circle. Snap the activator completely as the activation circle BEGINS to disappear. DO NOT let the activation circle completely disappear.
When to "SNAP" (15 KB)
Step 3: Read
For proper colour development, continue incubating the device as indicated below:
Beta-Lactam—4 minutes    Tetracycline—4 minutes
Aflatoxin M1—4 minutes    Gentamicin—7 minutes

Interpretation with the SNAPshot® Reader
  1. Turn on the SNAPshot Reader.
  2. Use the stylus to select "Read Test."
  3. Tap the test you want to run.
  4. Tap each prompted field to enter required information and tap OK.
  5. Insert the SNAP device and tap OK.
  6. Easy-to-interpret results print automatically.
