SNAP® Giardia Test
Easy, accurate, in-clinic

The new SNAP Giardia Test is a better solution for disease screening.
  • Easy to set up and run so you can test for Giardia while screening for other fecal parasites
  • Only one sample is required, compared to three for microscopy—making your workflow much faster and easier.
  • Includes a unique conjugate-fecal swab that allows for much easier, "hands-off" sampling
  • Fast results so you can identify infected patients during their visits

Compare Giardia testing methods to see the difference.

The SNAP Giardia Test is designed for optimum sensitivity and specificity compared to the microplate ELISA test, as shown below.¹

It is well recognized that current microscopic methods employed in-clinic can have poor accuracy. Published work from ACVIM 2003 evaluated the results of veterinary practices using microscopy, and confirmed the ineffectiveness of microscopic fecal examination for Giardia detection.

Use the SNAP Giardia Test:

  • As an adjunct to fecal float parasitic diagnosis—if you're looking for intestinal parasites, don't miss a Giardia infection.
  • When screening animals at a high risk of infection—among dogs and cats in shelters and boarding facilities, prevalence can be as high as 100%.¹
