Neill Sullivan

Veterinary Pathologist
After graduation from the University of Queensland in
1964, Neill worked as a pathologist at Queensland government's
veterinary laboratory at Yeerongpilly, and completed an MVSc degree
for pioneering work on the identification of Leptospira hardjo
infection in cattle. Other research included the identification of
Mycoplasma pneumonia as a cause of enzootic pneumonia in sheep. He
completed his PhD degree at the University of Melbourne, studying
polioencephalomalacia in sheep. From 1980 to 81, he was an associate
professor of veterinary pathology at the University of Saskatchewan,
Canada. On his return to Australia, he was appointed senior lecturer
in veterinary pathology at the University of Melbourne. Neill joined
IDEXX in 1992. He is a fellow of the Australian College of
Veterinary Scientists in both anatomical pathology and clinical
pathology, a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary
Pathologists, and has authored over 40 scientific publications.
Neill's special interests include neuropathology.
